Anambra Guber: NGOs Asked To Embark On Voter Education

Non- Governmental Organizations, other groups and individuals in the state have been told to wake up from political slumber and become active in charting a course for the future of the state.

The National Coordinator of the Global Environment Conscious Initiative, GECI, Barrister Livinus Nwokike , made the call as the state prepares to go to poll on November 18, 2017.

According to Barrister Nwokike , the political environment determines the fate of business organizations and society , hence the need for NGOs to educate bthe citizenry on the need to take keen interest in those seeking political office .

He charged non- governmental organizations incorporated in Nigeria to rise up like their counterparts in advanced countries with the objectives to support the course of governance by advocacy that will promote sustainable development programmes in the state.
