Addressing newsmen in Awka, Ezeanuna described as unnecessary, the purported gang up by the defeated aspirants to fight Obaze out of the contest, urging them to put their personal interest behind and pursue that of the party.
He acknowledged the pains associated in losing election, urging the aspirants to accept the outcome of the results of the poll in good faith as only one person would definitely emerge as the party’s flag bearer.
“Those criticizing the system and the nomination process wanted to benefit from its imperfection but when they failed, they felt so much aggrieved to the extent of trying to destabilize the party and that is why I am urging them, as my fellow aspirants to support the candidate of our great party,” he said.
